What is Veganism?

According to the Vegan Society, the definition of Veganism is :

Veganism is a way of living which seeks to exclude, as far as is possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose.

 

This means someone living the Vegan life style does not eat red meat, white meat, fish, mussels, oysters or any dairy products. Vegan’s substitute the vitamins and minerals found in these products with plant based foods.
