I thought this would be a fun way to challenge myself to try and find the ultimate combination for the most productive, healthy and happy version of myself.
This week I am starting with the famous : NO OIL.
Oil has always been a staple for me when cooking, a vital part of making sure veggies to do stick to the pan and the delicious drizzle on top of salads.
However, oil has some serious negative health impacts.
It has been associated with many health issues including various cancers, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and heart disease. Even the beloved vegetable oils which doctors pointed us towards in the past few years claiming they are better for us than butter and lard. Recently they have been many studies showing that vegetable oils have just as many negative health affects, if not more, due to the additional chemical impurities caused during processing.
At the end of the day, processed food is not good for us. Anything that is 100% fat cannot be good for us. While in moderation there are no glaring dangers, I thought it would be fun to challenge myself to cook without it.
